Over 1.55 Lakh Vacancies In Indian Armed Forces – Said Government: The Minister of State for Defence Mr. Ajay Bhatt has said that there is a shortage of work heads in the Indian armed forces and over 1.55 lakh vacancies in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air forces. He said this news in a written reply submitted to the Rajyasabha.
Among all the armed forces, there is the most number of vacancies in the Indian army. Minister said that there are over 1.36 lakh vacancies in the Indian army and the government is taking many measures to recruit candidates for filling the vacant positions.
