Srinagar: People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday expressed gratitude towards the army for taking action regarding sacrilege incident in Zadoora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
In a tweet, former chief minister of J-K, Mufti, said that only genuine accountability will restore trust between civilians and armed forces.
There hasn’t been any official statement from the army or police so far. However, media reports quoted official sources that a probe has been initiated in the incident.
Mufti added that Kashmir is the only place where Amarnath Yatra coincides with Eid.
“Thankful to @ChinarcorpsIA for taking swift action in the Zadoora incident. Only genuine accountability will restore trust between civilians & armed forces. Kashmir is the only state where a pilgrimage like Amarnath Yatra coincides with Eid. This is the spirit of Kashmiriyat,” she tweet.
